Postcards from Paris Newsletter by Teena Hughes, A-Night-in-Paris.comWelcome to this edition of news from Paris!

The weather has slipped into autumn and pretty soon the Yuletide and holiday season will be here. I thought you might like to know of a few things to do in Paris over December leading up to Christmas :-)

NOVEMBER in Paris

There are plenty of things to do in November in Paris, including THE most important event … the launch of the annual Beaujolais Nouveau wine in mid-November >>

https://www.a-night-in-paris.com/beaujolais-nouveau-wine.html

Check out the art exhibitions and other fun events, and if you’d like personal guidance whilst visiting Paris, you simply MUST read all about the Paris Greeter Program – it’s free! You can read all the details here >>

DECEMBER

As Winter chills the air, you’ll want to be out and about experiencing the fun stuff to do in cold weather.

What about a ride on the “BIG WHEEL”? Or ice skating? The Russian Circus is also in town so there’s plenty to choose from. Pop over to this page for lots more info >>

CHRISTMAS / HOLIDAYS IN PARIS

Want to feel the festive spirit? What better place to start than a stroll down the Champs Elysees at night with all the gorgeous Christmas lights, and the big store windows decked out beautifully? Tons of light shows to witness, Christmas tree exhibitions [involving fashion students!], fairylands for the kids [and the big kids too], so much to see and do to be part of the Yuletide fun. More details are here >>

SHOP AT THE CHRISTMAS MARKETS

Looking for something really interesting and different? Why not visit one of the specialty Christmas markets to be found dotted throughout Paris – you’ll find a list of them here >>

WHAT’S NEW ON THE WEBSITE

I’ve been building a page about all the Markets to be found in Paris, selling wonderful items from stamps [timbres], to antiques, vintage clothing, second-hand goods, flowers, organic foods, rare and out-of-print books & clothing, fresh produce … ahhhh, the list goes on! To find what’s happening in your arrondissement [district], check out this page >>

Other new pages include:
– the French national anthem
– brasseries
– bars, clubs and nightclubs
– hidden Paris, cafes with terraces & other cool places
– packing & suitcase info
– and a whole host of others!

If you have any questions or comments, I’ve set up a system to take care of that too – you can see it in action here >>

To see the questions and comments already posted, scroll down to the bottom of that page – one of the great threads is where to find Australian and English goodies in Paris, fabulous!

I’m hoping that everyone will be able to help each other out by posting questions, answers and comments – pop over and see what you think, I’d love to hear from you!

That’s it for now, thank you so much for signing up for my Postcards from Paris Newsletter, and I look forward to being in touch again soon.
