Low Fares Paris Flights – Airline Seasons & Best Time To Go
Want to fly to Paris? You may be surprised to learn that the travel seasons are a little bit different to the actual weather seasons :-)
And depending on where you live, you may be surprised to find that LOW season is around the Christmas period, in mid-winter, which is a less expensive time to travel and experience a white Christmas, even though in many countries December is HIGH season.
For example:
- High season: May 15 to September 30
- Low season: December to March
- Shoulder season: April, October to November.
Here’s another way to look at the travel seasons:
- Low season January
- Low season February
- Low season March
- Shoulder season April
- High season from May 15
- High season June
- High season July
- High season August
- High season Sept
- Shoulder season October
- Shoulder season November
- Low season December
Before you set your heart on a specific date, do check the prices online or with your travel agent or the airline, to make sure the dates you want to travel are in the right season.
Mix of Seasons to fly to Paris
It’s also quite normal that one of your flights might be in the Shoulder season [for example November] and your return flight might be in the Low season [December].
If you find out the EXACT dates of the changes of travel seasons, you can often take advantage of low fares Paris flights by simply moving your arrival or departure date by one or two days.
I actually did this on my last European flight – I moved my departure date forward by two days and got a much cheaper flight, which I found out about by being able to see the different prices for different departure dates online.
Now that you have more information on cheap Paris flights, you can start to investigate the best dates and prices for your next trip.
