Looking for unusual cafes in Paris?

I love sitting in cafes in Paris, watching the world go by, daydreaming of nothing in particular.  The babble of voices of clientele and waitstaff in the background, the aroma of fresh espresso, and the delivery of a cafe creme, served with grand panache, breaks my reverie and brings me back down to earth.

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh … what could be better than this??

I thought it might be fun to list some cool cafes, each offering a different experience, where you can meet the Parisians and get to know them. Here goes!

Feel like singing … in a cafe?
