I’ve heard it said that LA DROGUERIE is the absolute best, quintessentially French craft boutique in Paris … and that I must visit it.
I’ve just added La Drogeurie to my TO DO LIST for next June/July and I’m so excited at the prospect – it sounds divine!
I have read that a visit to this ex-butcher’s shop will delight the eyes and stimulate the senses. Opened in the 1970s, this is the one spot where those who sew and create love to come visit. From seamstresses, to tailors, designers, crafts people alike, they can browse buttons and bows, ribbons, threads in a massive array of colours, wool and knitting needles, and everything inbetween, all beautifully displayed in glass jars on row upon row of well-stained wooden shelves.
Oh gosh just reading about this makes me want to BE THERE RIGHT NOW :-)
Oh dear … I just visited the website and it looks like it’s now a craft store for baby clothing :-(
